Day Eighteen, 18 Sept 2010
Today was Yom Kippur Sabbath, so basically all of West Jerusalem was shut down and blocked off (apparently driving cars on Yom Kippur is a huge offense to Jews). I got to play the organ for sacrament meeting and it was super fun; I wish I could play it more often! We had an AWESOME lesson (given by Brant Peacock) about Covenants--he compared Hosea's marriage covenant to the baptismal covenant we make with God; probably the best gospel doctrine lesson I've ever had. After church I did my home teaching, read a little bit, kicked it with friends, and got my stuff ready for Egypt. lol I didn't know dinner was at 4pm yesterday (I thought it was at 6, as usual) so I totally missed it! (and they don't make lunch on saturdays...) oh well. That's about it. I'll be in Egypt for a week so I'll catch you up when I get back next sunday or monday. Au revoir!
