Day Eight: 8 Sept 2010, 21:10

Today was another mostly academic day. I slept for ~10.5 hrs last night so I woke up feeling pretty well, went to OT class, then to our Ancient Near Eastern Studies class (2 hrs...we talked about geography, I got pretty bored).  We went on a tour of the maintenance halls UNDERNEATH the Jerusalem Center afterwards--I got to carve my name on a huge wall alongside a whole bunch of other student names.  I also thought it would be super cool to have terraced paintball or laser tag matches down there but obviously that's not allowed lol.  I worked on homework for awhile, went to lunch, and finished 'A Tale of Two Cities' (good book), did homework, went to Arabic at 4 (it's still really hard), then after dinner we went to a forum address from a member of the U.S. Consulate here in Jerusalem.  According to her I'm not supposed to post anything she said, but let's just say two things: 1) I learned I never want to be in international relations, and 2) the peace talks going on right now between Israeli and Palestinian leaders (moderated by Pres. Obama) could have some very interesting effects on this area.  We'll see what happens :S  Now I'm just chillin', not too much else to report. Till tomorrow!
